Teacher: Competitive Teams

Lory Villiard

Lory has been part of Ovation Danse since the very beginning and has established herself as an outstanding teacher. Known for her technical rigor and contagious energy, she trains her dancers to be powerful, precise, and fully immersed in their movement. Her teaching style, which is both technical and stimulating, pushes every student to exceed their limits within an atmosphere of trust and passion.

On stage, Lory stands out for her remarkable intensity and authenticity. She has had the opportunity to perform in numerous professional contexts: with the troupe District V, she represented Canada at the World Hip Hop Championships in Phoenix (2017 and 2018) after placing first at the Canadian championships. She also participated in the show Révolution (TVA, 2018), danced for Cirque du Soleil (the show Joyeux Calvaire, 2019), and performed in the televised National Holiday show (2020). More recently, in 2023, she won the finale of Canada’s Got Talent with her team Conversion—a performance that led them to share the stage with Marie-Mai.

Alongside her artistic career, Lory completed a bachelor's degree in psychology as well as a graduate diploma in teaching from Université Laval. Today, she works as a school psychology consultant, a practice that informs her pedagogy and strengthens her human-centered approach with her students.

An accomplished dancer, passionate teacher, and committed professional, Lory is an inspiring figure both on stage and in the studio, where she passes on the passion and discipline of her art to every generation.
