Teacher: Teams and hip-hop

Marilou Duval

Marilou, a native of Saint-Grégoire, discovered her passion for dance at the age of 3, naturally gravitating toward hip-hop—a style that allows her to express all her dynamism. Over the years, she went on to explore other styles such as jazz, modern, ballet, and contemporary, while joining competitive troupes as early as 2014. In 2022, she earned her DEC in dance from the Cégep de Drummondville and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in preschool and elementary education at UQTR.

Sensitive to the lyrics and emotions conveyed by music, Marilou has developed a comprehensive artistic approach that makes her not only an accomplished dancer but also a versatile musician. Curious and open-minded, she admires all forms of art, sports, and dance. Her dream of passing on her passion took shape at the age of 13, when Isadora Bolduc gave her a place on her dance camp team. She began teaching dance there in the summer of 2016 and, that same year, joined the Ovation Danse team, where she has been teaching full-time since 2020.

Over time, she discovered that sharing her passion with young dancers comes naturally to her, thanks to her dynamism, eloquence, and sense of humor. She is also recognized as a skilled educator. In addition, she loves teaching adults and delights in every opportunity to take on creative and stimulating projects, such as choreographing wedding dances.
